Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin has been touted for his first Spain call-up by fellow Spaniard and Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu.
Bellerin has been a stand-out player for the Gunners this season and has been a key member of their excellent start so far this season, leaving them in 2nd place behind Manchester City.
Deulofeu, like Bellerin, came through the ranks at Spanish giants Barcelona but has moved on to England to seek success, which he looks to find with Everton. Bellerin, however, has been enjoying life in England, especially this season.
Speaking in a recent interview with Spanish newspaper Marca, the Everton winger was asked about the Spain squad ahead of upcoming friendlies and Euro 2016 and was asked about who he feels deserves a chance to break into Vincente del Bosque’s plans ahead of the summer.
Bellerin. There are very good full-backs such as Mario, Carvajal or Juanfran, but Hector is very strong. I love him and already last year he had a great season in the Premiership. Still, it is difficult to make the leap because there are top players in the first team.
The 20-year-old has featured ten times for Arsenal so far this season and if he can maintain his excellent form for the Gunners; displaying his attacking ability and ever-improving defensive qualities, he could be in with a chance to feature for his country at Euro 2016 next summer.
