Arsenal’s 1-1 draw at the Emirates this past Sunday left them level with Manchester City on points at the top of the table, and second on goal difference. It is safe to say then that the team has responded well to a very disappointing opening day defeat to West Ham – the Chelsea match aside.
Former Arsenal defender Nigel Winterburn also believes that the Gunners are playing solid football at the moment, especially considering the latest edition of the Arsenal injury crisis, which has seen up to ten regulars in treatment for ailments of various severity. Winterburn noted that team spirit has been an important element in keeping what has become a thin squad together.

The squad are very close knit and they’re working hard for each other.
Their league form has been decent. The Champions League has been disappointing but they’ve got a decent chance of progressing. The form has been a little bit mixed.
Arsenal’s league form has been decent since the loss to West Ham. I think Wenger would be delighted with that considering the injuries that they’ve got.
With the international break comes a chance for several injured Gunners to rehabilitate without missing additional game time, and the team may be bolstered soon by the return of several players, including Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Hector Bellerin, all thought to be returning immediately after or soon after the break.
Arsenal resume their Premier League campaign on 21st November as they travel to the Hawthorns to take on West Bromwich Albion at 15:00 BST.
