Arsenal legend Robert Pires has hailed his two former teammates Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira – claiming he could see both as Gunners manager one day, as long as they develop themselves in the correct manner.
Arsene Wenger has two years left on his current deal and is reportedly set to leave the club at the end of his tenure. Many names have been touted as possible replacements for the Frenchman and speaking to Omnisport, Pires backed his two friends to possibly take over the role, but admitted that the club must prepare well for the departure of their longest-serving manager.

Can I see Thierry Henry taking over Arsene Wenger? Yes, why not?
He is working on his badges. He is involved with the U19 team at Arsenal academy. He is preparing himself step by step. He wants to get his badges.
Question is: would Arsenal want Thierry Henry?
It depends on the board, the chairman. I can see Thierry Henry, as well as Patrick Vieira. It’s up to the club to prepare well for the post-Arsene era. That’s crucial.

Pires’ words could come true one day, with Patrick Vieira already taking the step into the world of management, taking over at New York City Football Club, while Thierry Henry has began taking his coaching badges, also continuing his work with the media.
