Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo may have been loaned out to Dutch giants Ajax on the strength of Arsene Wenger’s opinion. According to reports, the Dutch side carried out no scouting on the young Frenchman before they signed him on loan and instead took him on the belief that Wenger had for the player.
Sanogo has endured a tough time at Ajax; playing only five times and failing to score and it was reported earlier in the year that the Dutch side were looking to terminate the Frenchman’s loan after he failed to impress at the club.
Former Ajax winger Tschen La Ling became a member of the Ajax advisory board in June and claims that his club did no research into Sanogo before they took him on at the club.
There are no scouting reports. The player has been signed based on the opinion of the head coach of Arsenal, Wenger.
The statistics and quality of the player are very questionable. The player does not fit the profile – we seek an experienced striker who is ready and [Sanogo] has yet to ripen.

Ling moved on to suggest that a lack of communication among the senior club officials is the reasoning behind the lack of scouting into Sanogo prior to his loan move.
There is little contact between the most important people at Ajax: the head coach and head of youth development. A possible connection role is not completed by Dennis Bergkamp.
Yaya Sanogo is yet to really impress his parent club Arsenal after loans at both Crystal Palace and Ajax and now it seems the Frenchman may well be on his way back to Emirates after failing to impress for Frank de Boer’s side.
