Mesut Ozil has set himself a target of bettering his goals return this season compared to his last two in Arsenal colours.
The most expensive Gunners player in history has shown his best form this season since signing from Real Madrid in 2013 for £42.5 million.
He has set himself apart from other attacking midfielders in the country, delivering 10 assists in the first 11 games, showcasing the world-class ability that he has on a consistent basis.

The German international is working hard on his shooting and said he wants to add a more ruthless goalscoring streak to his game.
After training there are a few shooting drills that can help with self-belief. In general, when you look at my chances in front of goal, I’ve taken them well. Every player wants to score goals. I’m intending to score more this season than in previous years. It’s most important for us to perform well and to be successful – I’m looking forward to giving assists or scoring goals.
Ozil scored five times for the Gunners last season and seven in his first at the Emirates. So far this term he has two giving him no reason to believe he can’t accomplish his target.
My aim is to score more goals this season than in the last two. I think I’m on a good path and will achieve that.
The 27-year-old is also on course to beat Thierry Henry’s highest assists return of 20, and against Tottenham Hotspur beat the record for consecutive games assisting in the Premier League – six.
The stats prove he is in a purple patch right now which included a great performance against Manchester United last month when Theo Walcott and the German combined.

Ozil’s goal was a fantastic flowing counter-attack.
It all happened quickly.
The move was really fast and when Theo played the ball back to me, I saw the gap in the corner and put it there. For me it was very good, it was a very positive game because I scored a goal and gave an assist. It was a special afternoon for me.
