Debuchy – My Arsenal future is unsure

Arsenal full-back Mathieu Debuchy has revealed that he will decide whether he would like to stay at Arsenal during December, casting doubt over the defender’s future at the Emirates.

The 30-year old Frenchman has become frustrated at the north London side as manager Arsene Wenger has chosen Spanish wonder kid Hector Bellerin to be the first-choice right-back, leaving Debuchy on the sidelines.

The France international is keen to play before the upcoming Euro 2016 competition and is worried that his lack of game time at the club could affect his chances of a starting stop on the international stage.

Due to this, he has revealed that he will be evaluating his future at the club, and will inform the club of his decision before the January transfer window, which could see him departing from the team.

Speaking to Canal+, Debuchy stated:

I am dealing with it.

I am trying to stay strong. We are going to remain concentrated until December, after that I will see.

Debuchy joined Arsenal from Newcastle in July 2014, but a string of injuries has seen him make just 12 appearances for the side and being replaced in the first team by 20-year old Bellerin. Debuchy has scored one league goal for the team, against Liverpool in December 2014.

Now, Arsenal fans must wait to see if Debuchy is to leave the club and, should he decide to depart,Arsene Wenger will have a decision to make.
