Kane – Arsenal will want to put things right against us

Tottenham Hotspur visit the Emirates this weekend for the second north London derby of the season, and one prominent member of the Spurs squad is concerned about the Gunners’ response to their midweek humiliation in Munich.

Harry Kane spoke recently about the upcoming match, which has a great deal of importance as Arsenal look to keep pace with league leaders Manchester City while Tottenham seeks to bolster their top four ambitions.

They took a bit of a hiding in midweek and they are going to want to put that right.

We have come off two very good wins so we are going into the game on a high and hopefully we can finish the week off well.

Kane realises that the Gunners will be itching to put the Bayern result behind them and post a good result against their north London rivals. Spurs come in on somewhat of a high themselves, having won on Monday against Aston Villa and on Thursday in the Europa League against Anderlecht.

It was not a good night for them (against Bayern). A lot has been said about that result and, as fellow players, you know they will come out firing to try and put things right. So we know what to expect.

Spurs know they will be in for a difficult game on Sunday, and Kane hopes that his squad can ride their current run of form to a victory. However, despite the Munich result, Arsenal are currently riding their own outstanding run in the Premier League, having won five straight matches.

It is a big game coming up on Sunday and we could not have asked for more from the two games this week. I have never played at the Emirates before so hopefully we can go there and get the win.

matchday.
