Five Things We Learned: Bayern Munich 5-1 Arsenal

It wasn’t the night of results that Arsenal hoped for, in either their game away at Bayern Munich, or in the groups other game with Olympiacos beating Dinamo Zagreb.

The score ended up 5-1 to the Germans, equalling the Gunners’ worst score in Europe, with goals from Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Muller, David Alaba and Arjen Robben.

It was 3-0 to the hosts by half-time, at which point Arsenal could only hope to not go any further behind. They were much better in the second half compared to their disappointing first half, but the score remained a big one from the Germans which halted Arsenal’s chances of progressing past the group stages.
