# Guardiola – I expect long-ball football from Arsenal

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola says that he expects Arsenal to play “long-ball” football when the sides meet in the UEFA Champions League this Wednesday evening at the Allianz Arena.

Arsenal beat the German champions 2-0 at the Emirates two weeks ago thanks to goals from Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil, and when asked about how he sees the reverse tie going, [Guardiola said](https://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/arsenal/champions-league/news/pep-guardiola-expects-long-ball-arsenal_255628.html#$$nx8rj6&&F2jg5oIxEeW//RL/9wgFGw$$) he knows the away side will attack.

Arsenal will know that a loss against Bayern on Wednesday night would leave them with a lot of work to do to qualify from the group, especially if Olympiacos defeat Dinamo Zagreb at home.

If that scenario played out, Arsenal would have to win both of their remaining games, against Zagreb at home and Olympiacos away to stand any chance of progressing.

However, a win for the Gunners would put them level on points with Bayern and leave the group wide open.

If Arsenal and Zagreb win on Wednesday, all four teams in the group will be tied on six points.
