Arsenal duo Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla have together created as many chances as the entire Manchester United team so far this season.
Anthony Hay, writing for the Daily Mail, reports that the Arsenal pair have created the same number of chances this season, 81, as the entire Manchester United team has.
This will disappoint United fans because only Sunderland and Aston Villa have created fewer chances and so the Red Devils will have to change the way that they are playing if they want to mount a serious title challenge.
Unsurprisingly, as a result of Ozil and Cazorla’s creative flair, the Gunners currently sit joint top of the Barclays Premier League with Manchester City, while Louis van Gaal’s United hold fourth spot.
Arsene Wenger’s side overcame Manchester United at the Emirates a few weeks ago and the creative prowess of Arsenal outshone the Red Devils and won the match 3-0.
The Gunners take on Bayern Munich in their next competitive fixture and will be hoping to continue their goalscoring exploits in order to earn a win at the Allianz Arena and claw their way back up their UEFA Champions League group.
