Team News: Swansea City vs. Arsenal

Arsenal visit the Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon, where they take on mid-table Swansea City and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has revealed all the latest team news ahead of the fixture.

During the north London side’s disappointing trip to south Yorkshire on Tuesday evening, both Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott were withdrawn within 20 minutes due to injury and Wenger has revealed that both are expected to be out until at least the international break.

Nothing has changed since after the game. They are out but the scans are today – it’s 48 hours afterwards. We hope they are light injuries, but they are out until after the international break.

The Frenchman then moved on to discuss Aaron Ramsey, David Ospina and Mikel Arteta, who he previously confirmed would all miss out on the trip to Munich to face German champions Bayern – the Gunners boss admitted they will also be out until at least mid to late November.

It’s the same for them. You plan for them all after the international break.

Finally, Wenger answered questions about who will be featured on the right-hand side for the Gunners this weekend and admitted that he has two options, Costa Rican Joel Campbell and young starlet Alex Iwobi.

Campbell and Alex Iwobi [are my options]. Santi can play there as well but he has become very important centrally. The problem sometimes is that you can destroy two departments if you move one player out. We control the ball better with Santi in the middle.
