Mathieu Flamini believes Arsenal need to forget about the devastating 3-0 loss against Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night and focus on the Premier League, where they have a chance to “rectify” this result.
Flamini made his third start this season on Tuesday, after scoring the fantastic winner against rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the previous round.

The Frenchman told Arsenal Player that the club can learn from this hard loss and that they need to bounce back quickly since they will be facing Swansea City away from home in just three days.
It is one of the positive things, you can say, playing every three days, that we can make sure we rectify the direction.
We have another game in three days so we can make sure we win it, forget about this one and move forward in the Premier League.
I think they played a good game. We started the game with two injuries in [the first 20] minutes which made it even worse.

Flamini hailed Sheffield Wednesday, who he claims played really well. The French midfielder then went on to reassure fans by saying that this is just a bad result for the team and emphasised the importance of getting some rest ahead of their next game.
Today we faced a good team. There is not much to say. Bad result, bad day. Now we have to rest and focus on the Premier League.

Flamini praised and thanked Arsenal’s traveling fans, who kept on supporting and chanting for their team despite their horrendous performance.
They [the fans] have always been behind us when we win or we lose.
Of course it’s important for us to feel them behind us. They have been supporting us once again until the last-minute again so thanks to them.
Arsenal travel to Swansea next Saturday where they hope to reaffirm their team’s supremacy and prove they are genuine title contenders this season.
