Arsenal starlet Dan Crowley has reportedly returned early to his parent club from his loan spell with Barnsley, amid injury worries in the Gunners’ squad.
Crowley was supposedly set to spend at least six months with the lower league side but it is believed that the coaching staff were unimpressed with his impression on the side and have allowed him to return back to north London.
With the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott, Tomas Rosicky, Jack Wilshere, Danny Welbeck and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain out injured, Crowley could be brought straight into the side in similar fashion to that of Francis Coquelin last season – who was forced to have his loan spell cut short after a number of injuries to the Gunners midfield.

The 18-year-old is one of the brightest young talents in English football and could make a major step up if utilised by Wenger this season.
Crowley made 10 appearances for Barnsley during his loan with the club.
