Lyon and France U21 international Samuel Umtiti has admitted he harbours ambitions of one day playing in the Premier League.
The defender, who is a product of the Lyon academy, has been strongly linked to Arsenal and Chelsea in the past.

And although he is concentrating on continuing his development in France for the time being, he says that the chance to move abroad and play in either England or Spain would be a “dream”.
I’m very ambitious. I have quite a few goals, but I’ve still got many things to learn with Lyon.
Going abroad is a dream, there are very great clubs that you dream about. England? Everyone admires that league.
I would say I prefer the Spanish game, but to be honest, I don’t have a real preference.
Umtiti was capped at U17 level for the country of his birth, Cameroon, before switching to play for France U18s. Since then, the centre-back has progressed through the French youth teams but is yet to feature for the seniors.
Standing at 5ft 11in, he is not blessed with a dominating figure which could have suited the Premier League, but has shown at Lyon, having amassed over 100 appearances since 2011, that he has the quality to compete in England should he decide to move in the future.
