Arsenal midfielder Gedion Zelalem is currently on loan at Rangers and is due back in the first week of January, however Rangers manager Mark Warburton is said to be very keen to keep him in Scotland until the campaign is over.
The 18-year-old is proving why he can be one of Arsenal’s best midfielders in years to come. He’s got five assists in eight first team appearances thus far this season, an impressive record.
Speaking to the media, the Rangers boss admitted his desire to keep the player.

I hope he is very much enjoying it, the relationships between the clubs are good and I hope very much that we can keep him.
With the January deadline of his loan approaching, it looks as though this loan extension will likely be allowed. Arsenal are in no desperate need for an extra midfielder and are currently flying level on points with table-toppers Manchester City.

If the extension is signed, the deal will help Zelalem to rapidly improve and develop into the great player he could potentially become.
