Arsenal are reportedly tracking Anderlecht youngster Aaron Leya Iseka, as they look to bring in a younger addition to their strikeforce.

The 17-year-old, who is the younger brother of Olympique Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi, has only made a handful of appearances for the Anderlecht first team.

But according to reports, it’s been enough for Arsene Wenger to sit up and take notice of Iseka, with a view to potentially bringing him to the club in the not too distant future.

With Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud as the Gunners’ most senior strikers, Arsenal are perhaps lacking an extra man upfront, but fans may be slightly disappointed at the fact it’s not a big name who Wenger is apparently keen on chasing.

Iseka is currently out with a knee injury sustained in a youth game for Anderlecht, so any move will be put on hold until the youngster recovers from that.

Wenger is clearly looking to the future in order to secure back-up to Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud, with Joel Campbell unlikely to be used in a central attacking role and very little competition in the youth ranks to put pressure on the pair.

Arsenal have scored a relatively healthy 18 goals in the Premier League so far this season.
