Arsenal took all three points on Saturday at home against Everton in a hotly contested match which was tight until the final whistle. It ended 2-1, but the home side had many good chances which could and should have seen them expand their one-goal lead. All of the goals were scored in the final 15 minutes of the first half, and Arsenal put away both of their goals by headers from Frenchmen: Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny, while Everton answered back a few minutes after Koscielny’s goal with one from Ross Barkley that took a cruel deflection off Gabriel.
All in all, three points is three points, and Gooners can walk away satisfied after a solid win against an always-tricky Everton team.
