Arsenal took on Bayern Munich at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday evening, knowing that anything other than victory could see them facing elimination from the UEFA Champions League in the group stages.
The end result – Arsenal 2-0 Bayern Munich. Goals from super-sub Olivier Giroud and German midfielder Mesut Ozil saw the Gunners pick up a historical win against an – until now – unbeaten side.
It was a resolute performance from the north London side, with Petr Cech making a number of saves and the defence all earning their clean sheet.
