# Pearce – Arsenal WILL qualify

Stuart Pearce has backed Arsenal to end Bayern Munich’s 12 game unbeaten run and go on to qualify for the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.

Defeats to Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiacos mean the Gunners chances of emerging from Group F are hanging by a thread.

But [Pearce is optimistic](https://talksport.com/football/arsenal-will-qualify-champions-league-knockout-stage-says-stuart-pearce-151020171229) Arsene Wenger’s side can cause an upset tonight and still progress.

> *They have had a couple of stinking results, especially the Olympiakos at home one. But I have a sneaky suspicion they will still qualify.*
>
> *The only thing that might count against them is the last game Bayern play away in Zagreb and, if Bayern are already through, they might just field a lesser side and not worry about the result.*
>
> *But I think Arsenal will get something out of the game tonight and they will qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League.*

The Bundesliga high-flyers have scored 29 goals and conceded just four domestically so far this season.
