Jamie Redknapp has said that Arsene Wenger would be wise to rest star player Alexis Sanchez for the match against Watford this weekend.
The Chilean has been on international duty, playing every game – and scoring three goals for his country, and Redknapp feels his fitness may be affected.
In his column on Sky Sports, he describes Alexis as a world-class player and says that the Gunners need to be careful with their star asset. He does, however, comment that resting the 26-year-old could be letting Watford off the hook, as a full strength side would ‘make easy pickings’ of the newly promoted Hornets.

Redknapp cites the fact that Arsenal have ample backup for Alexis, with the likes of Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott able to step up to the plate and pull the team forward.
According to the former Liverpool man, the best approach for Wenger would be to have Alexis on the bench, and use him as an impact substitute in the last 30 minutes.
