Gabriel has told Arsenal Player that he wants to make history at the club by winning some of the biggest competitions on offer.
The defender has proven to be an important asset since joining the team in January. He’s undeniably a dominant defender and that’s why he’s been getting a lot of game time lately.
The Brazilian believes Arsenal are strong enough to compete with anyone, and that the Gunners can get their hands on any title they want.

Gabriel described his first day at Arsenal’s premises and talked about how the club have the right ingredients for a winning recipe.
On the first day I arrived here I felt something special.
In reality, I think I always wanted to achieve the most important goals in the world and in the biggest competitions.
When I got here, I saw that Arsenal have the ability to do it. We have great players to win the biggest competitions. I’m sure that me, my team-mates and everyone that works here will make history.

The former Villareal man also discussed how his team have the capability of winning the toughest competitions.
I will have my name remembered here for my son and your sons to see that we won the Champions League, the Premier League, the best competitions, because Arsenal are capable of doing it.

The 24-year-old believes that the hard conditions he lived in as a child in Brazil are the main reason behind him becoming the player he is today. He also mentions how the hardship he faced will help him establish himself as one of the best centre-backs in the world.
You go back a bit, you see what happened, you see what the family went through and that gives you the strength to go back to playing to your high standards in a club where you must be at your best, where you must always be willing to show your potential every day.
So I think these things I went through back then give me great strength to be able to be a great player. I want to become one of the best defenders in the world.
