Arsenal superstar Alexis Sanchez could be about to become the club’s highest-paid player, according to reports.
Negotiations are still at their dawn, but Arsenal are keen on securing Alexis’ future at Arsenal, who’s arguably one of Arsene Wenger’s best attacking forces.

Sanchez is currently earning around the region of £130,000-per-week, but that amount is expected to rise intensely. The Chilean is Arsenal’s second highest-paid player at the moment: Only Mesut Ozil earns more, making around £140,000-per-week.
If reports are to be believed, the former Barcelona man could surpass Ozil as Arsenal’s highest player if talks go as expected and the 26-year-old pens a new deal.

However, Sanchez is not the only player who will be receiving a contract extension. German star Mesut Ozil is also on that list, and will probably receive an increase to his wages.
In-form Nacho Monreal is also in line for a new Arsenal deal after agreeing to a new three-year contract. Meanwhile, the future of Arsenal captain Mikel Arteta remains unclear. His current deal expires in the summer and the club will decide on whether to offer him a new deal at the end of the season.

The Gunners are keen on keeping hold of their players after losing so many in the past, and will prevent their stars from leaving the club’s premises as they now have the financial capabilities to hang on to their top players.
