Arsenal’s shot-stopper Petr Cech has stated the squad believe in manager Arsene Wenger. This comes as they look to bring an end to their Premier League trophy drought.
Since THAT Invincibles season back in the 2003/04 season, the Gunners have failed to win England’s biggest title. However, the Gunners are currently sitting in second spot in the Premier League heading into the international break and are only two points behind table-topping Manchester City.
Despite their position, Wenger’s Arsenal haven’t made it easy for themselves at times since the campaign begun – especially in Europe. The north London side are currently sitting dead last in their group following two defeats to Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiacos respectively.
During that 3-2 home defeat to Olympiacos, second-choice ‘keeper David Ospina was selected instead of former Chelsea no.1 Cech. The Czech international has stated that he respected the decision, despite his impressive season.

Obviously the board and everyone at Arsenal believe in the manager – that’s why he’s still here.
It’s not just for the way you are – it must be for the way you work, too.
A section of Arsenal supporters are constantly on the backs of the club’s board to get rid of the French manager, but Cech is adamant that everyone involved with the club believe he’s the best man for the job at the Emirates.
The public only see the game, they don’t see all the things that are happening behind the scenes. So, sometimes, judging people only on the fraction of the time you see them working can lead to different opinions.
He introduced me to the vision the club has for the coming years, to the reason why certain things are the way they are now and how they will be next year and the year after. I really liked the project in the way it matches my ambition.
