Former Manchester United defender and current England coach Gary Neville has said that Arsenal prepare for big games like they are ‘preparing for a game in the park’.
Neville, who already described Arsenal with the words naivety and arrogance this season, has said that they lack attention to detail and should have more respect for their opposition.
Arsenal lost at home to Olympiacos on Tuesday night in the Champions League, and the lackluster defensive performance has been questioned by many. Neville believes the defeat adds extra pressure for Arsenal to get a result against the league leaders.

[Arsenal] don’t prepare for a big game like it’s a big game. I used the words arrogance and naivety earlier in the season.
They prepare for a big game like they’re going out to play a game of football in the park.
The 40-year-old admits that he is a fan of Arsenal’s style, however when things aren’t working out for the north London club, Neville believes that change must occur if they are to be successful.
I never see anything different with Arsenal. It’s a wonderfully pure theory around football; it’s fantastic morals and principles but if it doesn’t work you have to challenge it.
The week that they’ve had, losing in Europe, puts a little bit more pressure on them being at home.
Neville made 29 appearances against Arsenal during his career but never hit the back of the net against the Gunners.

Arsenal currently sit three points and three positions behind United, so Saturday’s game could bring change to the table.
