Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is confident that the Arsenal vs. Manchester United game on Sunday will be as entertaining as those he used to watch as a child.
During the late 1990’s and early 2000’s, the ex-Werder Bremen midfielder was growing up in Germany when both Arsenal and Manchester United were dominating the Premier League scene.
In this top-of-the-table clash on Sunday, United boss Louis van Gaal takes his team to the Emirates to come up against an Arsenal side who will be looking to bounce back from their UEFA Champions League defeat to Olympiacos on Tuesday night in north London.

The German midfielder suggests that the Gunners feel that they can take the three points on Sunday:
You always watch these games. I didn’t just watch matches between Arsenal and Manchester United, I watched all the big teams playing against each other because I always wanted to watch the best players trying to prove themselves.
That’s how it will be this time too. Back then I would enjoy watching players like Henry, Bergkamp, Ljungberg and Pires. I think it’s very exciting for the fans when two such big teams play against each other.
The anticipation and the expectation is obviously big. We just want to prove ourselves and get the three points. When you prove yourself against big teams, your self-belief increases because you believe in yourself more.
If you look at our team, in the last few weeks we’ve been weakened by red cards.
But if we can prevent that, I’m convinced that we can do well against big teams. We’ll show that against Manchester United.
In the league, Arsenal’s last game was a visit to the King Power Stadium, where an Alexis Sanchez hat-trick helped the Gunners to come away with all three points in an emphatic 5-2 victory.

Arsene Wenger will be hopeful of a performance of the same ilk this coming weekend.
