Ramsey – It’s not good enough from us

Gunners midfielder Aaron Ramsey has said that Arsenal need to put things right after their 2-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea. In a post-match interview with Arsenal Player, the Wales international said that he believes Gabriel’s red card changed the game.

We felt quite comfortable out there.

That set-piece has cost us but we tried our best out there and we paid the price from the sending off in the end.

Arsenal currently sit fifth in the table, will two defeats so far this season, but the 24-year-old believes that they can redeem themselves against north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night in the Capital One Cup.

Hopefully now we can put things right on Wednesday.

It will be a feisty game with hopefully some goals in our favour.

The midfielder is yet to score in any competition this season, having scored ten goals last season. He says that the players were keen to make amends for the midweek Champions League defeat in Ukraine to Dinamo Zagreb.

We’re always going to create opportunities but we’re just disappointed because we had a bad result in midweek in the Champions League.

We wanted to get back to winning ways and have a positive game.

Ramsey then goes on to state that Gabriel will learn from his mistake and that his side will concentrate on the task of Tottenham Hotspur midweek.

We were doing that up until the sending off.

I’m sure he’ll learn from that and we have to move on and put things right on Wednesday.

Arsenal’s next Premier League fixture is a trip to unbeaten Leicester City.
