Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla heaped praise on Francis Coquelin following the Gunners’ 2-0 win against Stoke City on Saturday.
Both players played a key part in the victory and have formed a formidable partnership in the centre of the pitch over the course of the calendar year.

Francis Coquelin has been a revelation for Arsenal since returning from Charlton on loan in December last year and speaking on The Final Whistle after the game, Cazorla said that Coquelin has been a big help for him.
It’s amazing playing with him. He’s helped me a lot. He plays well, he defends well and I think he’s one of the best players in this position.
We are lucky because he plays for Arsenal and I enjoy it a lot with him in this position.

Cazorla himself got an assist in the victory, setting up Olivier Giroud for the second goal, and the Spaniard believes he feels better with every game he plays.
I feel better every game. The most important thing for me is always to help the team.
I had an assist for Giroud and I had so many chances to score but the keeper made good saves.
I feel good and I always want to help the team, that’s the most important thing for me.
The pair are highly likely to line up together in Arsenal’s next game, as they look to get their UEFA Champions League campaign off to a good start, facing Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia on Wednesday.
