# Wilshere to miss another month of football

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is set to miss another month of football – after failing to recover from the hairline fracture he suffered to his leg prior to the start of the season.

Arsene Wenger [confirmed in Thursday’s news conference](https://readarsenal.com/2015/09/10/wenger-wilshere-suffered-setback/) that the England international had suffered a setback to his recovery, but could not confirm how bad it would be.

Sam Cunningham, reporting for the *[Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3230655/Arsenal-midfielder-Jack-Wilshere-month-injury-setback.html)*, has claimed that 23-year-old Wilshere is set to miss at least a month of action as he consults a number of specialists and undergoes further tests and scans.

The disappointment is yet another in a long list of setbacks for Wilshere, who has had an injury-ravaged career thus far, meaning he has been unable to really make a claim for a first-team place in the side.

If surgery is required for Wilshere, he will likely miss at least three months of action, which would be a major blow to his ambitions of making England’s Euro 2016 squad next summer.
