Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has stated that Thierry Henry must undergo a ‘psychological and mental transformation’ if he wants to become a manager.

“He will discover what the job is about and you have to go through that process if you want to one day manage a football team,” Wenger told Arsenal Player.
The job of a player is centred on you and the job of a coach is centred on others. You find you just focus on others and how you can help them.
It demands a psychological and mental transformation that is not always easy. It also demands how to get what you know is available in other people in the most simplistic way.
Thierry Henry played under Wenger’s management for nearly eight years at the north London club, scoring 226 goals and becoming the club’s record goalscorer in the process. He was part of one of Arsenal’s most decorated sides, winning multiple trophies and was also part of the Invincibles – the team that won the league undefeated and has since been voted as the greatest side in Premier League history.
He is currently working with Arsenal’s U18s as he studies to attain his coaching badges while also working as a pundit for Sky Sports.

The 38-year-old had previously spoken about his desire to coach Arsenal.
Being the manager of Arsenal FC would be a dream. I need to learn first. That is the most important thing.
It would be a dream for a lot of Arsenal fans as well, with Thierry Henry being one of the most loved figures in the club’s history. In fact, the Frenchman was voted as the greatest ever Gunner by thousands of Gooners in a poll held by Arsenal.com and has a statue outside of the Emirates stadium.
