Arsenal were among four clubs to be recognised by the European Club Association (ECA) yesterday.
The Gunners were awarded the ‘Best Community and Social Responsibility Programme’ for the Arsenal Employability Programme, which was designed to address youth unemployment in north London.

The programme aims to help young people find jobs by giving them tips on how to apply for a job and how to conduct a successful interview. The project has been a success and helped a great number of people in finding work.
The ECA decided to honour the good work that the scheme has produced.

Among the other teams honoured were Barcelona, who were awarded European Club of the Year for their treble winning season, Dnipro, who managed to get to the Europa League final, and Estonian club FC Levadia Tallinn, for their ‘Together we move’ project which vastly improved stadium accessibility at the club.
The ECA Awards were introduced in 2010, and recognise “outstanding club performances, encouraging best practice and highlighting successful club management.”
