Arsenal could be readying a bid for Real Madrid attacking midfielder Isco, with the north London side having scouted the 23-year-old last season.
According to Sport in Spain, the Gunners will face tough competition from Manchester City and Juventus, with the Spanish outlet claiming the two clubs have shown interest in the player – but did not mention Arsene Wenger’s side.
A move from Manchester City for Isco seems likely considering Manuel Pellegrini previously coached the attacking midfielder during his time at Malaga – the only hindrance is whether the cash-rich Citizens could fit Isco into the side, with the likes of David Silva, recently signed Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling all occupying the attacking positions.

Meanwhile, Sport claim that Juventus enquired about Isco’s availability last summer but were brushed off by Madrid, who want to keep a hold of their prised possession.
Isco joined Real Madrid in June 2013 for a fee of €30m but has struggled to gain a consistent starting spot in the side, making over 50 appearances for the Spanish giants last season, with the majority coming from the bench.
It’s unlikely that Arsenal will make a move for the attacking midfielder in January, but with the likes of Santi Cazorla aging, Isco could prove to be an upgrade on the experienced Premier League midfielder.
