Coming off an impressive 3-1 victory against Poland, the German national team has very good reason to feel good about itself. The victory in Frankfurt saw Die Mannschaft move to the top of Group D in Euro 2016 qualifying and a victory against Scotland would nearly book Joachim Low’s team a ticket to France next summer.
Speaking to the media after the game, Arsenal playmaker Mesut Özil sounded both confident as well as cautious in speaking about the upcoming clash with the Tartan Terriers.
I think we deserve to be at the top of the group. Now we have to go further on Monday. We know it will be a tough game because Scotland will fight until the 90th minute. But if we show what we can then Scotland won’t be able to stop us.
Real Madrid and Germany midfielder Toni Kroos concurred with his teammate and simultaneously noted areas for the Germans to improve if they want the victory against the Scots.

We dominated for long periods of the game, we created chances and we scored some good goals. But we also allowed Poland a couple of chances – that’s somewhere we have to improve.
All in all, it was a good day. It could be a difficult game in Scotland, and we’re prepared for that.
Germany will face a Scottish side that suffered a surprising defeat in their last game against the Republic of Georgia and find themselves desperate for a result against the Germans. Scotland currently sit in 4th place in Group D and need some help to potentially qualify for the tournament or the playoff round.
Scotland host Germany Monday, September 7th in Glasgow at Hampden Park. Kickoff is at 2045 local time.
