Mesut Ozil has suffered a strain to his patellar tendon, according to the German national side’s assistant manager. Ozil missed the Gunners’ 1-0 victory over Newcastle at the weekend due to a knee injury and it was feared that he would be out for a lengthy spell.
Sport Witness report that the German international’s injury is not as bad as was initially thought. Thomas Schneider, the assistant manager of the German national side put Arsenal fans at ease during a news conference where he stated that the attacking midfielder would be ready for his next fixture for the national side.
Mesut has a slight irritation of the patellar tendon. We’re confident he should be ready for the game.
Mesut Ozil is an integral part of the Arsenal team and will be crucial during their season if they are to claim the League title which they have every hope of achieving and so fans of the north London side everywhere will be glad to hear that the German’s strain is not too serious.
