Arsene Wenger has been talking about Arsenal’s Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina, and after signing Petr Cech this summer, the boss has said that Ospina is ready to fight for the number one spot at the Emirates Stadium.

The Colombian World Cup goalkeeper was Arsenal’s first-choice shot-stopper for the majority of the second half of the season and ended the season with the highest save percentage of any goalkeeper to have played the last 10 matches.
Speaking to Arsenal Player, Wenger said: “He’s responded very well.”
He is a very strong man and a fantastic goalkeeper.
He’s ready for the fight and will give Petr Cech a hard time.
There will be enough room for him to play games as well, maybe sometimes to come during the season.
Why shouldn’t he be able to win his No 1 shirt back? That’s the target for him and I’m convinced he will fight for that.
