UEFA Champions League fixture dates announced

Earlier today, the UEFA Champions League Group Stage draw took place and it was confirmed that Arsenal will be in Group F, alongside Bayern Munich, Olympiacos and Dinamo Zagreb.

Now, the fixtures and dates have been announced, and the Gunners’ first game of the 2015/16 European campaign will be away to Dinamo Zagreb on 16th September, while Bayern travel to Greece to face Olympiacos.

The north London side then play host to Marco Silva’s side, as Olympiacos visit the Emirates Stadium for matchday two on 29th September, and Bayern host Zagreb in a game that the German giants will be expected to dominate and win.

For matchday three, Arsenal have the visit of Pep Guardiola’s side to be concerned about, which takes place on Tuesday, 20th October. It’ll be a tough task for the Gunners, but if they can win their first two games, they could be full of confidence and when Arsene Wenger’s side get going, anything can happen. In the reverse fixtures, Arsenal travel to Munich in what should be the toughest fixture of the group stage, with the game taking place on 4th November, as Olympiacos face the Croatian side.

Arsenal’s fifth game sees the visit of Dinamo Zagreb 20 days later on the 24th November, a game the Gunners will be expected to defeat the opposition, while Joel Campbell’s former side Olympiacos visit the Allianz Arena to face German champions Bayern.

The last game of the UEFA Champions League Group Stage sees Arsenal travel to Greece on 9th December, a game which could prove tricky for the Gunners if they haven’t already sealed their qualification to the knockout stages. The final game for Bayern is away to Dinamo Zagreb.
