Arsenal target Grzegorz Krychowiak has officially ruled himself out of a move, insisting he will be staying at Sevilla.
Krychowiak, 25, joined Sevilla from French club Reims last summer, and in his first season helped them win the Europa League, whilst being named in the La Liga Team of the Year.
The Polish international has been the attracting interest from Arsenal in recent weeks, who were reportedly ready to make a £21.2 million bid for him. However, he put an end to all speculation linking him with a move with a tweet on Wednesday, which read: “I stay at the Sanchez Pizjuan for next season.”

Whether Krychowiak will move next summer remains to be seen, however Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will have to look elsewhere for a defensive midfielder following his declaration to stay at his current club.
This isn’t the first time a player Arsenal have been linked with this summer has shot down rumours of a move via social media, as Karim Benzema also tweeted last week that he’ll be staying at Real Madrid.
Following the emergence of Francis Coquelin, we may not see Wenger make a move for a defensive midfielder in this transfer window. If the Gunners boss does want to strengthen in that position, he’s got less than a week to do so.
