Former Arsenal boss George Graham told talkSPORT that Arsenal need to sign a world-class striker if they are to challenge for the Premier League title this season.
Arsenal have fired blanks in two of their opening three league games, with Olivier Giroud guilty of missing a few chances against Liverpool on Monday night.
The Gunners have been linked with Edinson Cavani and Karim Benzema for the majority of the summer, but potential moves for both strikers look unlikely.
PSG see Cavani as the star man when Zlatan Ibrahimovic leaves the French capital, while Karim Benzema put rumours about his future to bed on Monday via social media.
Graham, who won the league twice as manager of the Gunners, told talkSPORT’s Alan Brazil that Wenger needs firepower, and he needs it now: “Arsenal need an out and out goalscorer.
“They’re not making enough chances up front and they’re not taking their chances either.
“They need a striker who can get 25 league goals a season if they want to win the Premier League – but where are they?
“We’re all looking around the country looking for the great strikers and great centre halves – they’re already with top clubs and they’re not available.”
