# Steve Bruce wowed by Chuba Akpom

Arsenal forward Chuba Akpom has already wowed Hull boss Steve Bruce, during his loan spell at Hull City.

Akpom has been in fantastic goalscoring form for the Yorkshire side, [scoring in his first couple of games](https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Wow-Steve-Bruce-Hull-City-s-loan-star-Chuba-Akpom/story-27623026-detail/story.html) against Huddersfield Town and Accrington Stanley.

Despite it being so early on in his loan spell, and being just 19-years of age, Bruce believes that Akpom is going to keep on getting better, and keep on troubling the Championship defenders with his frightening pace.

*“Chuba has a chance, doesn’t he?* *Wow,”* [said Hull City boss Steve Bruce](https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Wow-Steve-Bruce-Hull-City-s-loan-star-Chuba-Akpom/story-27623026-detail/story.html) .

*“He has a lot to do and a lot to learn. But, in terms of raw talent, you don’t have to watch him long to* *realise* *the natural ability that he has. Only a few are blessed with that.*

*“He has to learn and this league will teach him that. Had he scored, that would have been three in three for* *him.* *It’s been a wonderful start.”*

Bruce, a Manchester United legend, went on to highlight Akpom’s most impressive talent, the fearlessness to just run at defenders: *“He turns round and runs at defenders, that is when it is tough for the opposition.*

*“He has an outstanding chance because of his ability.”*

The England U20 forward had a really impressive pre-season for Arsenal and was tipped to push Olivier Giroud this season in the side, but Arsene Wenger decided it was too early for the starlet, but [provided assurances](https://readarsenal.com/2015/08/14/wenger-chuba-will-learn-at-hull/)to Akpom over his long-term future at the Emirates.

If Akpom can continue to impress while on loan at Hull City, he will no doubt have a long and successful career with the Gunners.
