Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal has claimed that the Gunners must win at Selhurst Park this Sunday, after their shock defeat at the hands of Slaven Bilic’s West Ham side last weekend.
The north London side were expected to comfortably defeat West Ham, with a near- full strength side on the pitch, but were undone by Cheikhou Kouyate and Mauro Zarate’s efforts, not helped by the sloppy efforts of the defence and the experienced Petr Cech.
Nevertheless, the Gunners have moved on from the defeat, and will have turned their attentions to Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace side, who pose tricky opposition this coming weekend.
Speaking to Arsenal Player, the 29-year-old Spanish left-back said: “We have played many times against them away from home and we have won each time but we know they are a difficult team.

“They have really good players who are physically hard. We know it will be a difficult game but after losing our first match, we must win.
“We have to play like we know how. If every player gives 100 per cent then I think we will have many options to win the game.
“Obviously we have to make a perfect game from the first minute to the last and if we do that, I think we will win.”
The London side defeated Premier League new-boys Norwich City last weekend, with Palace’s Yohan Cabaye impressing and getting himself on the scoresheet.
With the Frenchman, who has previously played under Pardew, Palace immediately become a much more dangerous, better and impressive side, as well as the talents of Yannick Bolasie, Wilfried Zaha and Jason Puncheon already operating in the midfield.
