Arsenal youngster Krystian Bielik has recently spoken to Arsenal.com about how he used former Gunners player Robert Pires, and the club’s current number 10, Jack Wilshere, to help him settle into life during his first few days in London.
The Polish midfielder made seven appearances last season for the u21’s after joining the Gunners from Legia Warsaw in January and at only 17-years of age, Bielik is set for his first full season with Arsenal after firmly settling in to north London with the help of some friendly advice from Robert and Jack.

“When I started I had individual training sessions with Robert Pires, He gave me a lot of advice and helped my regain my fitness because I had been out for so long.
“I also trained with Jack Wilshere who was very nice to me. In my first week I saw some of the best players in the world and that was an amazing experience. Now I see them every day, how they play on the pitch and how they train, and it really helps me.”

Krystian went on to say how the club’s German defender, Per Mertesacker, also helps him through his Arsenal experiences: “Sometimes I speak with Per, who tells me to keep things simple rather than trying to do too much. I will be better for the team if I keep things simple, so that was great advice that he has given me.

“Playing for Arsenal is a dream but I know that I’m here to learn more, I want to show everybody that I’m a good player and that I can train with the first team so that one day I can prove that I can play for the first team.”
With the Under 21’s playing this Friday against Fulham at the Emirates Stadium, Bielik is expected to make an appearance. He has already had the experience of playing at the Emirates Stadium after featuring in last season’s u21 match against Stoke, where the team were 4-1 victors.
“It’s a very nice stadium, the pitch is slick and we can play beautiful passing football on it.
“I’m a bit more used to playing in big stadiums than most teenagers because I played for the first team at Legia Warsaw in front of 30,000 fans. But I think my first game for the Arsenal first team will be even more amazing in front of 60,000.”
Being a promising young footballer, in a couple of season’s to come the chances of Bielik making it to the first team are quite likely. He’s an exciting prospect that the fans look forward to see breaking into the first eleven.
