# Walcott signs new 4 year contract

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has signed a brand new 4-year-deal at the club reportedly worth £140,000 a week. The club announced the news alongside a new contract for Santi Cazorla as he pens a contact extension.

26-year-old Walcott who has been at the club since 2006 is currently Arsenal’s longest serving player and enjoyed a successful second half to the 2014/15 season after coming back from injury. He made 21 appearances scoring 7 goals including scoring the opening goal in the 4-0 FA Cup win over Aston Villa.

Last season also saw Theo make his 300th appearance for the club and he now looks set for many more with this 4 -year-deal. The winger/forward has also represented England 40 times and will be looking for a successful campaign to book his place in the England squad for Euro 2016.

Here’s what the manager had to say on the [clubs official site](https://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/20150731/cazorla-and-walcott-sign-new-deals);

*“We’re delighted to have extended the contracts of Santi and Theo. Both are top quality players who are hugely important and influential to our squad.*

*“As well as their huge contributions on the pitch, they both have a great deal of experience and are very popular off the pitch. We’re very pleased with them both signing contract extensions, as it provides our squad with further stability of quality.”*
