Faouzi Ghoulam is expected to join Arsenal by the end of the week, according to Spanish publication Marca.
The full-back is expected to arrive at the Emirates, with a deal reportedly set to be finalised in the coming days.
The Napoli man has also been linked with a move to Chelsea and Real Madrid, as he looks to leave Naples following the departure of manager Rafael Benitez. Arsene Wenger’s side have been linked with the 24-year-old for rather a while, and are said to be close to completing a €12million deal.
The transfer could see fellow left-back Nacho Monreal leave North London and join Athletic Bilbao, as it would be more profitable to cash in on the Spaniard now with one year left on his current contract, rather than allow him to leave for free next summer.
Ghoulam impressed with Algeria at the World Cup last summer in Brazil, where he helped his country reach the knockout stages for the first time in their history. 2014/15 saw him earn four assists from his defensive position.
