Spanish right back Hector Bellerin has been talking up Dan Crowley’s potential in an interview with Arsenal Player ahead of the club’s Singapore Tour, saying that the 17 year old midfielder is a “really big talent”.
“He showed it last year with the under-21s and his technique is really good.
“He’s a player who likes to have the ball at his feet. He just needs a bit more experience and the tour is going to give him that.”
Crowley, who is yet to decide whether he wants to play for England or the Republic of Ireland, joined Arsenal from Aston Villa for a fee of £880,000 two years ago, when he was just 15-years-old. Having impressed for the u18s, Crowley was quickly promoted to the Under 21s, and has also featured in Arsenal’s UEFA Youth League squads, becoming a regular for both sides.
Although he mainly plays on the left wing at present, cutting inside on his right foot, Crowley has been widely tipped as a future Arsenal number 10, due to his excellent passing and technical ability. With a talent for free-kicks and an eye for goal from open play, he has excited many of those involved in Arsenal’s youth teams.
Bellerin continued and stated: “He’s definitely a player to look out for”.
