Chelsea and England legend Frank Lampard believes that Arsenal’s signing of goalkeeper Petr Cech will give them a fighting chance in the Premier League title race.
The 37-year-old, who spent ten years at Stamford Bridge alongside the Czech ‘keeper, winning three Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups, a Europa League and a UEFA Champions League trophy together, states that Cech will ‘make a difference’ for the Gunners.
“Cech is a world-class keeper and person and can help push Arsenal into the running next season,” Lampard said.
“They are always challenging before falling just short but Cech going there, as John Terry said recently, will save them points.
“Manchester City and Chelsea will be challenging for the title once again. They remain favourites but Petr will make a difference.”
Do you think that Cech will go on to make the difference for the Gunners, or do they need to keep on investing? Let us know in the comments section below.
