Hector Bellerin strongly believes that Arsenal are going to have a successful 2015/2016 season.
The Spanish full-back broke in to the starting XI and made 30 appearances last campaign, playing an important role and helping his side to securing the 3rd place and winning the FA Cup. Bellerin is determined to keep his place on the first team sheet after an outstanding season where Arsenal youngsters shone and made a name for themselves.
“My goal has always been to improve, work hard and fight for a place in the starting XI,” he told Arsenal Player. “Last season I got the minutes that I was hoping for and I hope that next season I can do the same.”
The 20-year-old is looking forward to the new season, especially after the turnaround the team has had in the second half of this season.
“I’m really, really excited for the new season. The way we finished this season, the team have really come together and we’ve had some great performances, especially since the New Year.”
Bellerin has praised Arsenal and believes that the Gunners can overcome any team in the world, as long as they start their new season the same way they started the second part of their 2014/2015 term. The Spaniard also desires to get his hands on more silverware and expects his team to win, provided they unload with the right mentality and positive results.
“The team really feel like we can beat any team in the world with the performances we’ve had, so we’re all really, really excited to hopefully start the season with the right mindset and with the right results. Hopefully by the end of next season we can win some more trophies.
“We need to start with the confidence that we finished this season with. That’s going to important for us, to keep pushing and start where we left off at the end of last season.”
