According to David Ornstein of the BBC, Chelsea goalkeeper and Arsenal-bound Petr Cech is set for a medical today with the Gunners.
The two clubs recently agreed a £10.9m fee for the transfer of Cech to North London and Ornstein took to Twitter today to report the news that Cech is to take the next step in the transfer between the two sides.
Personal terms for the Czech shot stopper have also already been agreed and the move should be ready for completion by the end of the weekend, should all formalities run smoothly.
Cech, 33, was dethroned by fellow Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois who previously spent three seasons on loan at Atletico Madrid, where the Belgian won the La Liga title and came close to winning the UEFA Champions League, before losing out in the final to arch rivals Real Madrid.
With Cech set to sign for Arsenal, it is likely that David Ospina will be on his way out of the club, with Fenerbahce a likely destination.
