The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to rivals Chelsea and La Liga side Real Madrid in addition, but the Gunners are now reportedly lining up a £10.6million bid for the left-back.
Ghoulam would certainly provide competition for the defensive position, as Kieran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal will want to stamp their claim on the spot.
The Algerian recorded four assists during the 2014/15 campaign, demonstrating good attacking ability in addition to his defensive skills.
He also impressed on the international stage last summer at the World Cup in Brazil, with his emphatic crosses from the left-hand side.
Arsene Wenger’s side may find it difficult however to secure his services due to the potential competition for his signature.
Ghoulam is set to depart Naples following the Serie A outfit’s decision to appoint new boss Maurizo Sarri, who is looking to bring in his own choice of players.
