Turkish club Fenerbahce are targeting Arsenal’s goalkeeper David Ospina and are ready to make £3.2 million bid for the player, according to the Daily Mail. Furthermore, reports from Turkey state that the two clubs are close to agreeing a deal for the transfer of the Colombian international.
With Arsene Wenger chasing Petr Cech, Arsenal may be willing to sell Ospina. Also it is understood that Wenger is planning to utilise Wojciech Szczesny as Cech’s number two.
Arsenal signed Ospina after he starred in last year’s World Cup as Colombia made it to the quarter finals.
He was bought from Nice for around £3 million on a four-year deal. The 26-year-old made his Arsenal debut in September and managed to feature in 23 matches for the Gunners while Szczesny played in 29 altogether.
Fenerbahce currently play Turkish international Volkan Demirel in goal but their coach Vítor Pereira may be seeking younger alternatives.
