Arsenal’s Carl Jenkinson looks set for another season out on loan, this time to Sunderland. According to the Mirror, Sunderland boss Dick Advocaat is an admirer of the right back and would like to see him ply his trade at the Stadium of Light next season.
It looked like Jenkinson may have been back at Upton Park next season as West Ham were keen on taking him back but it now seems like Sunderland are in pole position for the player.
Arsenal are currently in negotiations with the Black Cats for the loan move of the England u21 international and are looking to settle on a £1.5 million loan fee. They are also willing to reward Jenkinson with a new contract as Arsene Wenger rates him highly and sees his future at the Emirates.
Loaning him out provides him with the invaluable experience of playing regular first-team football for a Premier League club which will put him in good stead for the future.
