# Martinez chooses AC Milan

According to Porto President Pinto da Costa, Colombian forward and Arsenal target Jackson Martinez has chosen his next destination and it’s not the Emirates Stadium.

Despite [months of interest](https://readarsenal.com/2015/05/28/arsenal-close-in-on-martinez-release-clause/) from the Gunners, it appears 28 year-old Martinez has chosen to move to Serie A side AC Milan this summer for a fee of €35m.

Pinto da Costa said to *[Porto Canal](https://www.ca2015.com/en/news/jackson-martinez-agrees-to-ac-milan-move-claims-porto-president/1telkgp8xm9351uaazzmu90kof): “I have just learned that Jackson Martínez has chosen AC Milan*.**

*“This is what he wants, I just want him to be happy. AC Milan will pay the €35 million clause.”*

Martinez, currently away on international duty with Colombia, has scored 92 goals in 132 appearances for Porto and has become one of the most sought after strikers in world football.

With the soon-to-be ex-Porto striker on his way to AC Milan, it would appear Joel Campbell, who has been linked with both [Real Sociedad](https://readarsenal.com/2015/06/09/campbell-to-sociedad-a-possibility/) and [Fenerbahce](https://readarsenal.com/2015/06/11/campbell-to-fenerbahce-agreed/) may have been thrown a lifeline in his Arsenal career.
